At Guitar With, we believe great guitar lessons aren’t just about learning the right notes—they’re about building confidence, creativity, and individuality in every student. Teaching shouldn’t feel like a formula. It should inspire students to develop their own sound, explore their own style, and love playing music their way. But being a great teacher and running a successful teaching business are two very different things—and that’s where we come in.
I’m David Lovejoy, founder of Superstars Guitar Academy, and I’ve spent the past 10 years helping students not just learn guitar, but truly experience music in the real world. Over the years, I’ve seen so many talented guitar teachers struggle—not because they aren’t great at teaching, but because no one ever showed them how to actually build a sustainable business.
That’s why we started Guitar With—to save you the struggles we went through and give you only the essential tools that actually create success. No fluff, no outdated methods—just real strategies that work.
My knowledge and experience go beyond teaching guitar, I also produce music for others (including creating walk-in tracks for professional wrestlers - super niche), and I make my own music too.
I’m Zoe-Beth, and my passion is helping young musicians—especially girls—find their confidence and creativity through guitar. I teach as a peripatetic teacher in schools where I focus on giving students the skills, mindset, and belief in themselves to play with confidence and individuality. I don’t want my students to be robotic players—I want them to find their own signature sound and love playing music their way.
Beyond teaching, I’ve built multiple creative businesses, including Creative Biz Weirdos, where I help entrepreneurs streamline their businesses, and I run TEDxWorthing, where I coach speakers to craft and deliver ideas that inspire and challenge. I also front woman of 2 bands, Ministry of Anthems and Duplic 80's, keeping my love of live music alive on top of writing my own music.
We know what it takes to turn creativity into a career because we’ve done it ourselves — not just through teaching guitar, but also through performing, coaching, and running other creative businesses.
We are natural helpers and love to help people in any way that we can - and helping other guitar teachers seemed like a great option for us to draw on our combined experience and expertise to create something simple and effective.
